Firewall as a Service (FWaaS)
Protection for your Cloud services
Untangle is a slightly different pricing model to other Firewall solutions. Whereas on some systems you pay a larger sum of money, you may be paying more than what you actually need.
Untangle works on a per device licensing model. All devices are covered with a basic level of Firewall protection however, for full Layer 7 protection, this is what you pay for. But this means, to keep costs down you only pay for the devices you want protected.
For example, a small office with 10 people is likely to have one or more printers, users mobile devices, maybe an IPTV, a server etc. the device count could be 15. In this instance, you pay for 11 devices (PC/Laptop and Server) for full protection. The remaining devices get the basic defence for free.
What is full protection vs basic?
Basic prtection will give: Firewall, Intrusion Protection and Web Monitoring. Suitable for peripheral devices
Full Protection will give: Firewall, Intrusion Protection, Threat Prevention, Virus Blocking (for downloading files), Add Blocking, SSL Inspection, Web Filter, Bandwidth Control (QoS), Multiple WAN connectivity, Load Balancing and Web Cache to name a few.
